Yes, absolutely. Nearly every loft conversion requires structural alterations — new floor joists, steel beams, and often changes to the roof structure. Building control will almost always require calculations from a qualified structural engineer before they approve the works.
Most domestic projects (loft conversions, extensions) range between £1,500 and £3,500 + VAT, depending on the initial survey work and the complexity of the calculations required. We provide a fixed, no-obligation quote before any work begins.
